The Assembly of the Academy of Sciences approved the admission of some personalities who live and work outside Albania as its external members, such as computer science researcher Mira Murati, choreographer Angjelin Prejlocaj, and writer Lea Ypi. One of the world's most renowned names in technology, the Albanian Mira Murati, will be part of the Academy of Sciences of Albania.
The decision was made yesterday as the Assembly of the Academy of Sciences voted and approved the admission of other personalities as academicians, such as Gëzim Alpion and Lulzim Tafa.
Mira Murati is undoubtedly a prominent figure and was declared one of the most influential women in 2023. She has been the head of 'Open Artificial Intelligence' since 2018. Also, after a successful collaboration of more than 7 years, she became the leader of work at ChatGPT.
Choreographer Angelin Prejlocaj is a prominent figure in contemporary choreography. He has been dominating the French scene since 1980 with his mastery and originality in his art.
Lea Ypi is internationally recognized and appreciated for her studies, which have been published in several different languages such as English, German, French, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, and Chinese.
