ICYMI, Bill Nye the Science Guy is on TikTok, and he’s making videos that are reminiscent of his iconic science lessons. His latest vid reminds viewers that cooking is science and it involves making pizza dough using a water bottle.

In the lesson, he starts by putting sugar and warm water in a water bottle. Once the sugar is dissolved, he adds a few teaspoons of yeast. He then puts a balloon on top of the water bottle and waits for it to rise. He eventually transfers it to a bowl to let the mixture rise more. When his pizza dough is ready to go, he adds spinach, pecorino romano, olive oil, and garlic to half of it and braised onions, salmon, and crème fraîche to the other half. Finally, he pops it in the oven on the lower rack and broils it for a little bit. It comes out looking exquisite!

People are going wild for this cooking lesson the comments. One person wrote that they want Bill Nye and Gordon Ramsay to have a cooking show together. That'd be quite the show!

Bill Nye ends the video with a final reminder: "It's not magic, people. It's science!" TBH, I find an incredible amount of comfort in watching this man teach me science with those same silly noises from his '90s science lessons–especially this one, because it involves food. Do kids these days get to experience his classic learning vids? If not, it’s wonderful to see him on TikTok.
