Bihar Board Result 2018: BSEB 10th and 12th results to be announced in June

The results of Class X and XII of Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) would be announced on June 20 and June 7 respectively, BSEB chairman Anand Kishor said. An official notification of the results announcement was issued from BSEB office on Saturday.

PATNA: The results of Class X and XII of Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) would be announced on June 20 and June 7 respectively, BSEB chairman Anand Kishor said. An official notification of the results announcement was issued from BSEB office on Saturday.
Kishor said that the processing of intermediate result was in the final stage.
Candidates would be able to check their results on BSEB official website www.biharboard.ac.in.
Around 17.7 lakh candidates wrote their Class X exam which was held between February 21 and 28 whereas 12.08 lakh appeared for Class XII exam conducted from February 6 and 16 across the state. Practical examinations were held in January, 2018.
Total 448 candidates were barred from the examination for malpractices and 93 examinees were caught for writing papers for the other in Class X while in Class XII, 985 candidates were barred for cheating and 25 imposters were held.
Last year, the intermediate results were announced on May 30 and the matriculation results were in June 22, 2017.
Earlier, Kishor had claimed during a conference that the results of Class X and XII would be announced earlier than 2017. However, the official said that due to some unavoidable reasons the results were got further delayed.
The top scorers of the BSEB's Class XII (science, commerce and arts separately) and Class X examinations would get a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh along with a laptop and a kindle e-reader each. A cash prize of Rs 75,000 each would be given to the second topper and Rs 50,000 each to the third topper. While the fourth and fifth rank holders of each stream of Class XII get Rs 15,000 and a laptop each, a cash prize of Rs 10,000 is given to the students holding fourth to tenth ranks in the Class X examination.
The top ten rank holders of Class X and XII would also get the scholarship money for higher education under Desh Ratan Dr Rajendra Prasad Medha Chatravriti.
